Aldwin (John) Augustus Roberts passed away peacefully Saturday March 2, 2013 in his home, at the age of 86. A funeral service will be held Saturday March 9th, 2013 at 3pm in the Genesis Baptist Church. John was born February 24th, 1927 on the beautiful island of Tobago, the husband and companion of Isola Roberts. During World War II he was enlisted in the British Navy and after the war joined the Trinidad and Tobago Police Force. He later migrated to the United States and held many positions including head of security at Lehman Brothers. John was very active in his community and loved to sing hymns and tell stories. John is survived by his wife and longtime companion Isola, his 3 sons (Desmond, Esmond, Aldwin), 10 daughters (Laureine,Jeanette,Lynette,Pearl,Annmarie,Angela,Donna,Charmaine,Deborah,Dianne), 23 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
